The company is seeking a Financial Analyst focused on commercial operations, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. As a vital member of the finance team, you will contribute significantly to enhancing the finance function. Your role will involve collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver financial analysis and commercial insights that drive business performance. You will be responsible for managing the print advertising budgets and engaging with various stakeholders across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall print advertising budgets while collaborating with multiple stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly planning, forecasting, and review processes, challenging assumptions across teams to ensure precision and identify potential risks and opportunities. Maintain and be the authority on detailed commercial plans.
- Conduct investment appraisals and develop business cases for new initiatives, including post-investment evaluations. Collaborate with commercial teams to monitor and report on revenue performance and trends within various categories.
- Contribute to strategic planning through the formulation of budgets, forecasts, and business plans, while developing best practices in forecasting models and trend analysis.
- Manage reporting and analysis for diverse revenue streams.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Experience in commercial finance or business partnering roles within a publicly listed organization.
- Familiarity with print and digital advertising, e-commerce, and affiliate revenue streams is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Exceptional communication skills with confidence in engaging with stakeholders.
- Adept at identifying, addressing, and escalating key issues and challenges.
- Experience in the Publishing or Media industry, or a related field, is preferred but not essential.
