About the Role:

The Recruitment Lead will support the Head of HR Operations in providing supervision and direction to the Recruitment team, ensuring the end-to-end recruitment process is efficient and utilizes technology solutions to deliver an exceptional candidate and manager experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the operational implementation of the recruitment strategy and plans in line with the People and Cultural Transformation Strategy to develop the Council's brand and attraction strategy.
  • Support HR and the wider Council by identifying recruitment issues and developing appropriate interventions and solutions that facilitate effective resourcing solutions.
  • Support line managers in developing innovative approaches to recruitment and managing the overall permanent and temporary workforce approaches.
  • Deliver workforce plans through the delivery of recruitment activity, achieving KPIs and performance targets.
  • Ensure safer recruitment processes are in place and regular audits are undertaken to ensure a compliant recruitment process and all activities associated with the delivery of the process.
  • Represent the council at events promoting the organization and careers, ensuring appropriate setup arrangements are in place and monitoring their success.
  • Work in partnership with the Apprenticeship team to promote new opportunities within the council.
  • Review and analyze recruitment activity data, producing reports as required and developing actions to drive forward improvements.
Requirements:
  • CIPD Qualified or demonstrable experience within Recruitment and Resourcing.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Equal Opportunities and current employment legislation, its implementation including codes of practice, enabling advice to be given on broad-ranging and complex recruitment issues.
  • Occupational Psychology testing qualification (desirable).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development, leadership, and personal experience.
