Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Gardener to join our team at Abbatt Property Recruitment. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our estate grounds and ensuring they are maintained to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a small team of grounds maintenance staff, delegating tasks and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
- Provide exceptional service to our site and customers, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Maintain the estate grounds and apartment curtilages, adhering to an agreed annual maintenance program.
- Operate ride-on mowers and use petrol/electric powered gardening tools in accordance with operating procedures.
- Oversee cleaning of car park areas using a specialist sweeping machine and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Carry out general estate maintenance work as required by the Development Manager, including fencing repairs and painting street furniture.
- Drive site vehicles with trailers and participate in ongoing training and self-improvement initiatives.
- Full UK driving license.
- NVQ level 2 in horticulture or equivalent qualification.
- PA1 and PA6A certifications.
- PASMA license beneficial.
- Well-motivated, proactive, and flexible individual with leadership qualities and previous supervisory or managerial experience.
