Job Title: Principal C&I Engineer

Location: Manchester

Contract: 12 months

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal C&I Engineer to join our team at First Recruitment Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality control and instrumentation (C&I) engineering solutions for process plants and facilities across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to projects under a well-established Master Service Agreement, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Engage in all project phases, from conceptual studies to detailed design, providing expertise in C&I engineering tasks.
  • Develop and manage C&I Engineering deliverables, including design tools, techniques, and project execution methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
Requirements
  • Proven expertise in instrumentation design for medium to large capital projects, covering concept through start-up.
  • Significant background in the Chemical, Petrochemical, and Oil & Gas sectors, with experience in hazardous area instrumentation and mechanical package instrumentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with design tools, techniques, and project execution methodologies, including P&ID development and sizing of flow devices, control valves, and relief devices.
  • Expertise in field instrumentation, analysers, DCS, PLC, and SIS systems across the lifecycle.
