Job Summary:
Auto Skills UK is seeking a skilled HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join our team at our Lancaster depot. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of trucks and trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements
- Perform any necessary repairs and maintenance tasks
- Conduct general servicing and MOT preparation
- Diagnose and repair faults with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Update all required paperwork and databases
Requirements:
- Full industry qualifications and a recognised apprenticeship
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of truck and trailer maintenance
- A commercial licence is a distinct advantage, but not essential
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, maintenance, and repair
