Job Summary:

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Hydrogeologist to join our client's expanding Water Environment Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting hydrogeological risk assessments, borehole monitoring, and borehole appraisals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hydrogeological impact assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Perform water quality analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Carry out borehole appraisals and monitoring on site to gather data and inform decision-making.
  • Manage and analyze data to inform project decisions and recommendations.
  • Conduct contaminated land assessments to identify potential risks and develop remediation strategies.
  • Develop and implement groundwater monitoring programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Create GIS maps to visualize data and inform project decisions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Hydrogeology or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a hydrogeologist or geologist in a UK-based consultancy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
