Social Services Professional

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Assessment, Kinship and Support Team at North Somerset Council. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality services to children and families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments and provide support to Kinship carers and prospective Foster Carers.
- Develop and implement support plans to ensure the well-being and safety of children and young people.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
- Provide supervision and guidance to new Kinship Foster Carers.
- Assess the suitability of prospective Foster Carers and provide recommendations for approval.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified Social Worker with a strong understanding of relevant childcare legislation and policies. You must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, young people, and families.
A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role, as you will be required to travel to various locations throughout the day.
