About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Acute Oncology team as a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist. The successful candidate will work across all four sites of University Hospitals Birmingham, assessing patients and providing advice and support to patients with cancer and blood disorders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess patients in the Emergency Departments and Medical Assessment Units, ensuring appropriate pathways of care are actioned.
  • Provide telephone triage and assessment of patients calling with complications related to their anti-cancer treatment.
  • Participate in the running of nurse-led HOT Clinics, providing assessment and management of patients with complications of treatment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Acute Oncology team to provide guidance and support to medical and nursing teams throughout the acute hospitals.

Person Specification
