Reed is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their team in a temporary position. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in credit control who is looking for a new challenge in a dynamic office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and collecting debts from company debtors
- Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers' credit rankings with financial institutions
- Establishing and maintaining the terms and conditions of accounts receivable and payable
- Resolving internal and external queries regarding payments and ensuring timely payment from customers
- Negotiating repayment plans with clients
- Resolving disputes and queries related to outstanding invoices
- Processing and allocating daily receipts to financial systems
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in credit control and debt recovery
- Strong understanding of financial principles, credit practices, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry; experience with financial software preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, both internally and externally
- Competence in negotiation and conflict resolution
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize a demanding workload
