Lead Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Automation Engineer to enhance our expanding team in Newcastle. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in managing projects related to Electrical Power Transmission and Distribution.

Key Responsibilities – Lead Automation Engineer

  • Provide technical leadership for industry control solutions and mentor new team members.
  • Prepare and review functional design specifications.
  • Design and develop innovative control systems solutions.
  • Oversee customer factory and site testing processes.
  • Ensure adherence to customer technical specifications for assigned projects.
  • Contribute technical expertise during pre-sales activities.
  • Address technical challenges and provide support for assigned projects.
  • Participate in internal and external design reviews, offering technical insights.

Qualifications & Experience – Lead Automation Engineer

  • Proven experience in Control and Automation sectors.
  • Minimum qualification of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, with relevant experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution sector.
  • Experience in a comparable role involving the development of medium to large-scale SCADA systems, control systems, automation systems, and communication infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of Circuit Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, and General Arrangement drawings related to control and protection systems.
  • A commitment to leading technical projects and fostering the development of engineers within the growing team.
