Electrical Installation Engineer - The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts. As an Electrical Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical installation of LV equipment, including MCC's, local control panels, distribution boards, and instrumentation.

You will carry out electrical surveys of sites, establishing methods of installation and creating reports to detail findings. You will also contribute to and/or create risk assessments and method statements for packages of work.

As an Electrical Installation Engineer, you will manage multiple jobs at one time, prioritizing tasks accordingly. You will guide and mentor apprentice or junior engineers, taking responsibility for their safety and standards of work when on site.

You will undertake the role of Competent Person in-line with Electrical Safety Rules. You will work alongside software engineers, ensuring I/O is present and serviceable as required.

You will report on progress to the EICA Construction Manager to highlight any concerns, issues, and opportunities for further work.

Electrical Installation Engineer - The Person:

We are looking for an Electrical Installation Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience within a medium or large organization. You must have a valid UK driver's license.

You will have good planning, organizational, and time management skills. You will have excellent IT skills, including MS Word and MS Excel.

You will be able to act on your own initiative and work as part of a team. You will have good communication skills at all levels.

You must be positive, approachable, willing, and helpful. You will have a good understanding of electrical installations and control systems, including but not limited to, Control Panels/MCCs, PLC, SCADA, Instrumentation.

Qualifications:

We require an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. You must have a good understanding of BS7671 18th Edition - Requirements for Electrical Installations.

You will need an ECS card and knowledge of CDM regulations 2015. SSSTS is advantageous, as is knowledge of BS EN 61439-2 Power Switchgear and Control gear Assemblies and BS EN 60947 Low-voltage Switchgear and Control gear.
