CNC Lathe Setter / Operator

Meridian Business Support is looking for a skilled and motivated CNC Turner to become a vital part of their client's workforce on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be adept at interpreting technical schematics with minimal oversight. Ideal candidates should possess experience in setting up and operating Star or Nakamura CNC lathes. Familiarity with Fanuc-based CNC lathes, especially bar feeder lathes utilizing multi-axis tooling, will be a plus.

Work Shifts:
  • Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm
  • Monday - Thursday 2pm - 10pm

Key Responsibilities of the CNC Lathe Setter / Operator:
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes efficiently.
  • Produce components from primarily stainless steel bars by following engineering drawings.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure proper dimensions and accurately document results.
  • Adhere to production schedules to achieve production targets and KPIs.

Required Experience for CNC Lathe Setter / Operator:
  • Proven experience working with CNC lathes.
  • Essential experience in setting and operating machines with Fanuc or similar controls.
  • Proficient in the use of gauges and tooling.
  • Experience in making minor offset and program adjustments.
