Southampton Engineering Training Association Ltd (SETA) is a well-established independent training provider delivering engineering training for local employers and their apprentices.
Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Engineering Tutor to teach both Level 3 and Level 4 vocational courses predominantly to students on apprenticeship programmes here at SETA. The successful candidate will be required to teach a range of engineering units which may include areas of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Principles and Mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver outstanding technical education that supports effective learning and high levels of retention and achievement.
- Hold a teaching qualification with experience of delivering Level 3 or above curriculum in an engineering environment or an education setting.
- Use a range of teaching methods, as required, enabling candidates to achieve their qualifications in accordance with contractual obligations and funding requirements.
- Share best practices and experiences with delivery teams related to technical teaching and learning practices.
- Attend regular meetings with your Line Manager to review individual targets, achievements and plan continual professional development.
- Complete all necessary documentation akin to teaching and learning; registers, reports, cause for concern to satisfy ESFA funding and quality assurance purposes in line with Government legislation requirements.
- Keep abreast of Quality Assurance developments in apprenticeship delivery and own area of expertise.
- Attend mandatory training including Safeguarding, PREVENT, equality, diversity, inclusion, as required.
