Decontamination Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Decontamination Technician. As a key member of our Decontamination Hub, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care by providing sterile surgical instruments, scopes, and supplies.
Our Decontamination Hub is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will work collaboratively with our team to meet the demands of operating theatres, wards, and departments. You will be responsible for assisting with the re-processing of standard reusable surgical instruments, medical devices, equipment, and procedure packs, as well as working in our Laundry and Sterile Linen Units.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with the re-processing of surgical instruments, medical devices, and equipment
- Work in our Laundry and Sterile Linen Units to wash, dry, press, and fold hospital linen
- Participate in cross-site working as required to meet the needs of the service
- Contribute to the maintenance of a high-quality service, adhering to our Quality Management System and work procedures
- Level 2, GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Basic IT skills
- Evidence of completing further training and development or education
- Successful completion of our in-house training programme
- Experience working in a factory or packing role, healthcare environment, or cleaning role
