About the Role

Pertemps Network Group is seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team in the Shropshire and Telford region. As a key member of our driving division, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Journey Safety Checks: Conduct daily and weekly safety checks to ensure the vehicle remains in a safe and roadworthy condition.
  • Driving and Delivery: Drive various heavy goods vehicles with different trailers, making internal and external deliveries, and performing depot-to-depot deliveries and collections.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading goods, including handballing, strapping loads, trunking work, trailer swapping, and yard shunting/movements.
Requirements
  • Category C License: Hold a valid Category C license with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Experience and Qualifications: Possess 6 months' experience driving C+E vehicles, a valid Tacho card, and a valid DQC card.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate a friendly, professional, and dedicated approach to customer service, with an outstanding work ethic and ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Flexibility: Show a flexible approach to work and a willingness to support the team when needed.
