We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solicitor to join our Group Legal function as our Legal Counsel.

As our Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in managing legal risk by advising and supporting the commercial team and board during the tendering and negotiation phases of commercial transactions.

You will be responsible for drafting, revising, and negotiating commercial contracts, as well as providing legal advice on a variety of matters, including contract interpretation and developments in relevant legislation.

• You will be a qualified Solicitor with at least 3-5 years post-qualification experience in the commercial field.
• You will have a strong grounding in commercial law and be able to think creatively to provide guidance and answers rather than just following the letter of the law.
• You will have excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal clients and external agencies.
• You will have a good level of general legal knowledge, including procurement, and be able to provide sound commercial judgement and commercial awareness.
• You will be tenacious with high attention to detail.
