We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital. As a key member of our Paediatric Endocrinology team, you will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to children and young people with endocrine conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist nursing care to children and young people with endocrine conditions in both hospital and community settings.
- Deliver expert nursing advice and support to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assess health, health-related, and nursing needs of patients and their families, and develop effective care plans.
- Prescribe medicines and treatments as necessary.
- Lead in the care of specific patients, working with ward/clinic staff to ensure high-quality evidence-based nursing care.
- Participate in the paediatric endocrine out-patient clinic and assess appropriate patients.
Requirements:
- NMC part 1 (children)
- Non-Medical Prescribing Course
- Basic counselling skills
- Knowledge and proven interest in working with children
