Position Overview

Hourly compensation: £20.18

This role is a temporary position within the Wellbeing and Justice Team, focusing on providing essential support to families and children.

The Wellbeing and Justice Team is composed of a diverse group of professionals, including team leaders, senior practitioners, social workers, and family support specialists, all supported by dedicated administrative staff. This collaborative environment fosters effective communication and teamwork.

The team’s mission is to assist children and young individuals facing various challenges, including those involved in offending behavior. We offer a range of interventions aimed at promoting positive change and establishing lasting support networks for families. Our approach includes individual and group supervision, along with extensive training opportunities provided by East Lothian Council.

Current staff members are engaged in delivering Early Effective Intervention programs and Diversion from Prosecution initiatives, addressing issues such as substance use, offense-focused interventions, victim empathy, and educational and employment support.

The ideal candidate will possess experience working with youth, particularly in Youth Justice interventions. As the youth justice service evolves, this role presents exciting opportunities for professional growth.
