We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Property Manager to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. This is a temporary opportunity, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to optimize income generation from the Council's non-operational property portfolio, including the disposal of surplus or underperforming assets.
  • Ensure that non-operational property assets totaling 850 commercial interests achieve the rental target set for each year (c7m) and identify opportunities for new acquisitions to increase this income.
  • Negotiate leasing and renewal of leases, and rent reviews of retail commercial and industrial property, including preparation and presentation of the Council's case in the event of dispute.
  • Manage residential, retail commercial, and industrial land and property, with a focus on district and local retail centers.
  • Review weekly planning applications to identify those impacting or affecting the Council's land and property.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience in estate management.
  • Significant experience in estate/property management, with a focus on agreements for use of property and property contract-related issues.
  • Leadership knowledge and experience in managing change and implementing new ideas.
