Current Openings:
- Day Shift Class 1 Relief Transport Operator: Competitive base salary of £33,742 per annum, contingent on hours worked. Shifts commence around 07:00hrs.
- Night Shift Class 1 Relief Transport Operator: Competitive base salary of £37,255 per annum (inclusive of night allowance), contingent on hours worked. Shifts commence around 19:00hrs.
Role Overview:
- This is a permanent, full-time role designed to cover for holidays and absences.
- Responsibilities include loading and unloading vehicles while ensuring the security of the load.
- Delivering and collecting goods to and from clients using a curtain-sided vehicle.
- Engaging with customers both in person and via telephone.
- Utilizing a handheld PDA for daily vehicle inspections.
- Maintaining regular communication with the transport team for updates on progress and managing customer expectations.
- Participating in ongoing training sessions.
- A flexible approach is essential as the role involves both day and night shifts.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work within deadlines.
- Exhibit confidence, politeness, and teamwork.
- Possess good geographical knowledge.
- Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be fit, adaptable, diligent, and self-motivated.
