About This Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing specialized care and support to patients experiencing mental health challenges.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality treatment programs designed to facilitate the recovery of working-age individuals detained under both criminal and civil sections of the Mental Health Act. These individuals often face severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills by collaborating with colleagues, supporting patients' recovery journeys through effective communication, and delegating tasks to Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) and other team members. This will contribute to the development and enhancement of their skills, competencies, and confidence.
- Promote our trust values and behaviors through your interactions with patients, Occupational Therapy colleagues, and the wider Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). This ensures a collaborative and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
