About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join our team at Service Care Solutions - Construction. As an Asset Manager, you will play a key role in developing and driving the delivery of our Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Asset Management Strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the teams within the Asset Management service to provide an effective, high-performing, customer-focused, statutorily compliant, and professional property-based service for our HRA and corporate stock.
  • Lead a review of the Council's asset management function, including proposing and recommending how to separate the asset management function into two separate teams by General Fund (GF) and HRA, and preparing the HRA asset management team to reintegrate into the regulated housing department.
  • Assess assets suitable for redevelopment, re-designation, remodelling, alternative use, or disposal, and develop mechanisms for acquiring new assets.
  • Support the achievement of the Council's Medium Term Financial Strategy objectives and HRA Business Plan viability and objectives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in asset management, preferably in a local government or housing association setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic recommendations.
