Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's team in Stockton-on-Tees.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer through to time served Electrical Design Engineers to design marine and offshore/subsea equipment and carry out hands-on commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare project documentation including basis of design, detailed functional design specification, FAT, SIT and SAT procedures
  • Create design concepts and produce detailed design documentation including electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings, cabinet and panel layout drawings, I/O lists, 3D models, bills of materials, alarms lists, design reports, cause & effect matrices, FMECA
  • Liaise with Purchasing for equipment procurement, preparing RFQs and technical procurement specifications & with Production to resolve technical issues
