Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing the internal Quality Assurance strategy for development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the project teams concerning Quality Assurance tasks and activities
  • Planning, conducting, reporting, and effectively communicating Quality Assurance tasks and activities
  • Leading junior members of the Quality Assurance department in conducting tasks and activities
  • Engagement with management and teams on Quality System matters

Requirements:

  • Experience of EN9100 (AS9100) Quality System requirements
  • Proficiency in First Article Inspections to AS9102
  • Quality Assurance Planning, Estimating, and Estimates to Complete
  • Supplier Quality Assurance Management
  • Drawing and Document Reviews and Configuration Management
  • Experience in leading complex Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations

Desirable Skills:

  • Awareness of the development life cycle of projects from phase 2 to phase 5
  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP to AS9145
  • Previous experience in electronic products
  • Proficiency in compliance procedures: Systems / Safety – APR 4754 / ARP4761

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with existing Systems, Software, and Hardware development experience to gain knowledge and experience of Aerospace standards in the Quality Assurance role within the product development lifecycle.

This role will allow you to gain knowledge and experience in the Quality Assurance role within the development lifecycle programme for Safety Critical Systems, including processes for Requirements Management, Product Design, Implementation, Verification, and Validation.
