Job Summary

The Graduate Welding Engineer is a key member of the CRC Evans team, responsible for assisting senior welding engineers in the development and execution of welding projects. This role requires a strong understanding of welding procedures, equipment, and materials, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Execution
    • Fulfill project welding activities in a cost-efficient, effective, and safe manner.
    • Monitor and collate data from R&D materials and welding projects.
    • Provide budget estimates and firm offers for tenders, projects, or internal clients with respect to welding activities and equipment.
  • Technical Specifications
    • Review technical specifications for tender/contract purposes, determining cost, quality, and cycle time impact.
    • Calculate welding cycle times for pipeline installation rate estimates for tender and planning purposes.
  • Quality Control and Inspection
    • Perform QC and inspection functions during WPQT, WQ, and welding development.
    • Monitor production welding on site, as required.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment
    • Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental rules, policies, procedures, regulations, and codes of practice.
    • Report any hazards, injuries, or ill health that present a serious and imminent risk.
  • Requirements
    • Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in welding/materials engineering or equivalent level through experience.
    • Have experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, preferably.
    • Be willing to undertake offshore survival training.
