About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Educational Support Specialist to join our team at Inscape House School, a specialist day school for autistic children and young people aged 5 to 19 years. As an Educational Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and helping our young people to conquer barriers and surpass expectations in an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Responsible for promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
  • Support the classroom teacher in preparing resources and managing the classroom environment.
  • Assist with implementing individual education plans and learning materials to meet the needs of our young people.
  • Administrative tasks such as record keeping and organizing learning activities.
  • Other duties as required by the Trust or by the line manager and other senior leaders.

About You

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for working with children and supporting young people. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate and work as part of a team. A positive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children with special needs is essential. Good ICT skills and flexibility in dealing with changing circumstances are also desirable.
