Job Summary:

A&P Group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing financial guidance to support business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, as well as year-end audited accounts, reporting on profit and loss, key performance indicators, and undertaking variance analysis.
  • Monitor and analyze performance and budgets, generating and following up on financial reports to provide insights and recommendations for business improvement.
  • Support with budgeting and forecasting, including profit & loss and cash flow.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

Requirements:

  • AAT qualified or above, with experience in a similar role within a busy finance function.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, with great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work under your own initiative to deliver what's needed, when it's needed.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
  • Microsoft Excel skills and experience of working with key accounting systems such as Sage would be great.
