About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team at Philips. As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our international supply chain, while minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of processes and procedures to minimize risk and increase security for our international supply chain.
- Drive operational compliance through risk management and ensure that all trade compliance activities are aligned with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for local UK&I Customs Operations, including liaison with governmental and non-governmental bodies and agencies.
- Export Control Officer for UKI Health Systems organisation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
- Initiate, drive, and run local Trade Compliance improvement programs, including training, process & systems roll-outs, and compliance scoring.
- Execute Global Trade Compliance strategies, driving costs and compliance, and ensuring that all trade compliance activities are aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Liaise with functions such as Corporate Tax/Customs, CEC, Finance, HR, AME, and IT to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Coordinate Trade Compliance specialist projects (SCM) on time against requirements, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Prepare and execute reports, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Plan and execute continuous improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance trade compliance processes.
- Support Goods Flow Control Board activities, ensuring that all trade compliance activities are aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Contribute to and execute assessment or audit plan/policy, ensuring that all trade compliance activities are aligned with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for Customs broker/Carrier communication for Customs purposes, escalating issues to the central GTC team when necessary.
- Support Sector Supply Leads with 3rd party relationship management, ensuring that all trade compliance activities are aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Support regular performance & KPI reviews, coordinating actions arising, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Identify and deliver PDCA activities with 3rd party suppliers, ensuring that all trade compliance activities are aligned with company goals and objectives.
