About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Officer to join our team at the University of Salford Careers. As a key member of our digital estate, you will play a pivotal role in driving the ongoing development and maintenance of our website and other digital assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain our main Drupal-based website, network of WordPress sites, and other standalone static and dynamic websites.
  • Collaborate with the Web Manager to identify and implement strategic web projects.
  • Provide expert advice on UX and UI to colleagues within the Marketing Department and across the University.
  • Guide and support other members of the Web Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital experiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies and best practices, making informed decisions about languages, frameworks, and architectures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Experience in digital marketing and strong communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of web accessibility and experience of meeting accessibility standards.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-skilled team.
