Position Overview

The Activity Instructor plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children attending the camp while providing engaging and structured activities.

Utilizing various resources, you will lead a diverse range of organized sports, arts and crafts, and games for children aged 6 to 14 years, emphasizing participation, care, and personal growth.

In addition to facilitating sessions, instructors contribute to the exceptional standard of physical, emotional, and social care provided by Ultimate Activity Camps. As a group leader, you will focus on maintaining welfare and delivering high-quality support to the children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement activities for children aged 6-14, prioritizing engagement, development, and enjoyment, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Assume a pastoral role as a group leader, welcoming new participants and communicating with management and parents as needed.
  • Supervise and interact with children during non-activity periods.
  • Consistently promote the welfare of all children in your care.
  • Exhibit high levels of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism, serving as a positive role model.
  • Ensure compliance with all camp policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
  • Embody the Ultimate Activity Camp commitment to 'Inspiring Children Every Day' and maintain the company's standards throughout your tenure.
  • Perform additional tasks as required (e.g., cleaning, equipment upkeep).

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and facilitating activities.
  • Able to adapt session delivery based on age and skill level.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and dedicated to fostering children's development through play.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; confident in leading a group and taking responsibility.
  • A flexible team player, capable of adjusting to dynamic camp situations.
  • Seeking a challenging yet rewarding opportunity in the childcare and coaching sector.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Qualified or pursuing a relevant qualification in sports, arts, education, or childcare.
  • Experience managing a group of children independently.
  • Possess a Paediatric First Aid or First Aid at Work certification.
