About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife to join our Labour Ward team at Croydon University Hospital NHS Trust as a Band 7 Labour Ward Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and forward-thinking leader to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care and support the development of midwifery practice.
Key Responsibilities- To ensure the effective management of the Labour Ward, including the coordination of staff and resources.
- To provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- To contribute to the development of midwifery practice, including the implementation of new policies and procedures.
- To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- NMC Registered Midwife
- BSc in Midwifery
- Evidence of professional development
- Assessor/mentorship course or equivalent ALSO/NALS/MOET course
- Masters in Midwifery, or evidence of working towards
- Professional Midwifery Advocate
- Managerial/Leadership qualifications and/or experience
- Experience of working in both hospital and community settings
- Evidence of contribution to developing midwifery practice or education and training.
- Guideline and policy development Clinical audit
- Formal teaching practice in the classroom
- Experience of implementing change management projects
- Management of people
