As a member of our collaborative team, you will be supported by local colleagues and industry leaders within the Stantec community. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary group comprising 110 professionals from Stantec, spanning 13 UK offices and a team in Pune, alongside our clients and consultant/contractor partners, to deliver impactful projects throughout the UK and Ireland. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to an innovative team of engineers focused on a specialized modelling framework while participating in industry-leading projects.
In our Newcastle office, recent projects have included the Surface Water Management Solution for Fellgate, the Johnson Street Storm Overflow Screening Project, and Bathing Water Studies for Northumbrian Water.

Candidate Profile
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess a degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related field, and ideally hold membership in a relevant professional institution such as ICE or CIWEM. Successful applicants will exhibit technical expertise across a broad spectrum of urban drainage modelling tasks and demonstrate proficiency in InfoWorks ICM and other pertinent modelling and GIS software.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with project bids and preparing cost estimates within our established frameworks. The role entails participating in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of urban drainage initiatives while ensuring the highest standards of delivery excellence, technical governance, and adherence to best practices.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be responsible for report writing, developing and delivering presentations (both internal and external), and fostering industry connections.
The ideal candidate will seamlessly integrate into a team environment, collaborating closely with fellow modelling professionals in urban drainage while maintaining a strong client service orientation.
