We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Support Worker to join our team at Sja's West. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering our NHS Cadets programme, which aims to inspire and empower young people from marginalised communities to pursue careers in the NHS.
As a Youth Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering 1.5-2 hour sessions to young people, providing them with development opportunities and focusing on their citizenship and future career aspirations. You will work closely with a Project Lead and other Youth Support Workers to plan and deliver content, adapting to the individual needs of the young people on your programme.
The role requires flexibility, with sessions delivered face-to-face, virtually, or at a partner NHS building. You will also be required to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.
About You- Experience of delivering training or activities to young people
- Ability to motivate young people with low or unrealised aspirations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor your style to suit different audiences
- High levels of IT literacy with a good knowledge of MS Office and remote working tools
