Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our M&E Design Office, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions for our clients.

About the Role:

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a strong background in mechanical design engineering, with experience in M&E / MEP projects. You will be responsible for leading projects, attending principal meetings, and delivering client presentations. Your technical design expertise will be essential in delivering mechanical engineering works to a high standard and tight timescales.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as Project Leader / Project Manager across various M&E / MEP projects
  2. Attend principal meetings and deliver client presentations
  3. Deliver technical design excellence for all mechanical engineering works
  4. Help generate repeat business through high-end customer care
  5. Work across a variety of technically challenging and highly interesting projects
  6. Client-facing, involved in all stages of a project (inception to completion / handover)
  7. Work in a team environment to achieve a common goal
  8. Produce design drawings, design specifications, and calculations
Desired Experience:
  1. Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer
  2. Previous M&E / MEP experience across various construction projects
  3. Commercial, Industrial, Leisure / Sports M&E / MEP experience is ideal
  4. Design Software experience in AutoCAD 2D & Revit is useful
  5. British and European Standards Building Regulations knowledge
  6. Professional Membership (CIBSE, IET) useful, but not a must have
  7. Knowledge of integration of embedded systems
  8. An understanding of incorporating various renewable technologies
  9. Working knowledge of BREEAM & Passivhaus is useful
  10. An appreciation and some knowledge of electrical engineering beneficial
