We are seeking an experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our vibrant and ambitious fundraising team at Guy's and St Thomas' Foundation. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing high-value relationships with trusts and foundations, raising significant income for our three hospitals, and contributing to our fundraising strategy.
Key Responsibilities:- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with trustees, influencers, and staff of grant-giving organizations, leading on complex, large-scale projects and solicitations.
- Proposal Writing: Develop and write clear, compelling fundraising proposals to charitable trusts and foundations, showcasing our hospital's vital work and impact.
- Stewardship: Ensure effective stewardship of trusts and foundation donors, including reports, letters, and other documents that may involve complex, sensitive situations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, including Prospect Research and Donor Relations, to ensure a coordinated approach to prospects, cultivation, and stewardship.
- Successful fundraising experience, including proposal writing and relationship management.
- Experience of working with trusts and foundations, or comparable donors, clients, or partners.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, make decisions, and manage a demanding workload.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to present a case convincingly in person and in writing.
- Knowledge of Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising databases.
- Up to 12% employer pension contributions.
