About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar PV Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the Green Recruitment Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our ground mount solar PV assets in the South West.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with HV Engineer to execute planned preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Identify Local Suppliers for various materials and services to conduct corrective maintenance activities.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance on deployed solar PV systems, including testing and remedial work.
  • Execute Preventative Maintenance according to the PPM annual plan.
  • Perform Corrective Maintenance as it occurs.
  • Report Activities performed on site, upon any site visit and on a daily basis, through the CMMS or manual reports as applicable.
  • Owning Risk Assessment, analysis, and operational limitations.
  • Supervise and Coordinate third-party contractors carrying out works on site.
  • Comply with H&S Regulations and ensure third-party contractors adhere to them.
  • Keep Accurate Records of electrical testing, suitable for audit.
  • Maintain Data Security and confidentiality by using information within the parameters of the job role, any applicable SLAs, the company data policies, privacy notices, and statutory guidelines set out within the GDPR and any associated UK legislation.
  • Comply with Fire, Health, and Safety Requirements for the environment in which you are working, including making yourself aware of the current applicable policies and risk assessments and acting accordingly, and attending any required training.
  • Adhere to Biosecurity, Health and Safety, and Confined Spaces Protocols.
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Procedures and ability to follow maintenance schedules on a tablet computer.
  • Knowledge of AC and DC Electrical Systems such as AC distribution boards, DC combiner boxes, automation panels, etc.
  • Knowledge of CCTV Systems and SCADA Systems.
  • Knowledge of High Voltage Systems, up to 33kV, in terms of switching operations and maintenance.
  • Good Working Knowledge of Industry Instruments such as Digital multimeters, Amp clamp-meters, insulation resistance testers, etc.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Solar PV Systems and their maintenance requirements.
  • Experience in Electrical Maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to Work at Heights and in confined spaces.
  • Good Communication Skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and ability to comply with them.
