About the Role

RiverSafe Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Defence Principal Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Cyber Defence and Big Data practice, you will be responsible for managing teams and client engagements, overseeing security assessments and technical delivery elements of security transformation programmes, and creating high-quality reports that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Lead and manage teams of security consultants to deliver high-quality services to our clients.
  • Security Assessments: Oversee the completion of security assessments and technical delivery elements of security transformation programmes.
  • Reporting: Create high-quality reports that meet customer requirements, including security assessments and technical delivery elements.
  • Client Engagement: Identify opportunities for RiverSafe to assist clients and escalate to the engagement manager.
  • Network Building: Establish and build a network of contacts within our clients.
  • Engagement Planning: Assist with the planning and delivery phases of engagements with our Service Delivery Team.
  • Proposal Development: Contribute to the creation of proposals and marketing material.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure work is delivered on time and on budget.
  • Team Development: Develop the existing team by sharing knowledge and leading by example.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in managing security consultants, demonstrable consulting experience, and strong relationship-building skills.
  • SIEM Products: Experience with SIEM products like Splunk, Exabeam, ArcSight, Sentinel, or other IPS/IDS products.
  • Security Transformation: Experience in security transformation programmes and risk management.
  • Cloud Security: Knowledge of Cloud security and Big Data Analytics.
  • Breach Management: Experience in breach and incident management practices.
  • Agile Development: Familiarity with agile development environments.
  • Secure Architecture: Ability to create secure architecture designs and conduct architectural reviews.
  • Operating Systems: Proficiency with Unix and Windows operating systems.
  • Networking Fundamentals: Strong networking fundamentals and communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Aptitude for understanding complex problems and customer needs.
