Role Overview:We are in search of a talented and driven Junior or Senior/Chartered Building Surveyor to become a vital part of our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in building surveying within a design consultancy context, showcasing a combination of technical skills and client engagement abilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive building surveys and generate detailed reports, identifying issues, providing remedial recommendations, and outlining potential financial impacts.
- Lead the design and specification processes for new constructions, renovations, and restoration projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards.
- Oversee projects from initiation to completion, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to guarantee timely and cost-effective outcomes.
- Offer expert guidance on property legislation, building codes, and health & safety regulations.
- Engage in business development initiatives, identifying new prospects and promoting the consultancy's services to prospective clients.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Building Surveying or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and design principles.
- Proficiency in utilizing industry-standard software and technology for surveying and design tasks.
- Exceptional communication and report-writing skills, with the capability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
- A valid UK driving license and readiness to travel as necessary for project assignments.
This position is newly established within the company, allowing for consideration of both experienced Chartered Building Surveyors and those earlier in their careers who are eager to advance.
