Second Chef

This role is for a qualified Chef to work in a care home setting, providing high-quality, nutritious meals for residents. The successful candidate will have a personable approach, good understanding of nutrition, and experience working with fresh, seasonal produce.
Main Duties of the Job- Assist the Head Chef in menu development and deliver a warm, efficient, and welcoming environment in the kitchen.
- Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes cooked at the highest standards.
- Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence and complete regular audits.
- Work within budget and manage stock control.

Person Specification- The successful candidate must hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification, and have a good understanding of nutrition and experience working with fresh, seasonal food.
- They should also possess a personable and warm approach, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents, and a good understanding of HACCP.
