Role Overview:
This position is vital to the success of our stores, focusing on delivering exceptional experiences for both customers and donors, encouraging them to return.
We seek a versatile customer service professional with a sharp eye for detail, capable of thriving in a dynamic retail environment with high stock turnover. Daily responsibilities may include welcoming customers and donors on the sales floor, as well as handling tasks in the stock processing area.
You will collaborate closely with your team to achieve shared goals and maintain a positive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to both shoppers and donors.
- Receive, categorize, price, and display donated items.
- Handle transactions and manage cash flow, ensuring accuracy during end-of-day reconciliations.
- Maintain a well-organized, stocked, and visually appealing store environment.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Foster a supportive team culture and assist with various store operations as needed.
- Pursue a Retail Certificate Level 3 or be willing to work towards it.
Candidate Profile:
- Exceptional customer service abilities, with sound judgment and conflict resolution skills.
- Resilient, optimistic, and team-oriented, with a natural ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Physically capable of performing regular lifting tasks as part of daily responsibilities.
- Proficient in utilizing various retail and communication technologies.
- Self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Committed to ethical practices, fostering trust and transparency within the organization.
- Comfortable working within established guidelines while exercising sound judgment when necessary.
- Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory police check.
