Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Equipment Specialist to join our team at Wright Staff Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating production machines and equipment to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run a range of production machines and processes to produce products to the required quality standards and achieve output standards.
  • Apply best practice standards in all areas of health and safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.
  • Demonstrate good housekeeping and ensure personal protective equipment is maintained and used as prescribed.
  • Create and maintain accurate records relating to machine outputs and downtime.
  • Actively support planned preventative maintenance and total preventative maintenance activities.
  • Assist with risk assessments and safety improvement activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and initiatives, identifying and recommending improvements.
  • Train other operators as required and share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Good standard of education and written English and maths skills.
  • Good communication skills and attitude.
  • Understanding and use of measuring equipment, such as rulers and scales.
  • Desirable qualifications include time-served machine operator experience, knowledge of mechanical and electrical PLC and pneumatic systems, and experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
Working Environment

This role will involve working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on efficiency and productivity. You will be required to work shifts and cover overtime when necessary.
