Are you a driven and experienced leader seeking a hands-on, client-facing role in a thriving software solutions firm?

As we expand, we need skilled and technically adept Delivery Managers to oversee client relationships and manage end-to-end project delivery by guiding our teams and maintaining a close understanding of the software development process.

You'll possess a genuine passion for technology, with experience collaborating with software developers across multiple locations. While your primary base will be at an office of your choice, you'll also spend time at our other offices and client sites throughout Europe and beyond as we broaden our client base, so adaptability is key.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role that seamlessly blends strong project management expertise with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of complex technology projects for clients
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience in managing software development projects using Agile methodologies, while also possessing a solid understanding of Waterfall-based delivery approaches and their potential pitfalls
  • Lead teams effectively, with proficiency in motivating high-performing software development teams, including distributed teams
  • Take ownership of project finances to achieve targeted financial outcomes
  • Support the onboarding of consultants to projects; assist in qualifying resource requests and collaborate with line managers and consultants to assess project suitability
  • Provide direct management for assigned consultants, handling performance feedback and annual review processes
  • Contribute to communities of practice and the development of valuable resources (e.g., offerings, white papers, blogs, delivery toolkits, learning curricula, etc.)
Ideal Qualifications:
  • Previous experience within a technology consulting firm
  • A strong appreciation for modern software engineering and associated development technologies throughout the entire software development lifecycle; ideally with hands-on software development background
  • Willingness and ability to travel to other Scott Logic offices as well as client sites within the UK and internationally, as required
  • Experience thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Project management certification (such as PRINCE2 Practitioner status, PMI or ScrumMaster)
  • A relevant university degree
