Senior Pollution Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Pollution Advisor. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing scientific advice and guidance on chemical pollution issues to Defra and Country Nature Conservation Bodies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide scientific leadership and project management for the System Level Indicators project, working closely with the Environmental Pollution science leads.
- Act as secretariat and science adviser for the Inter-agency Chemicals Group and Environmental Improvement Programme.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Defra and Country Nature Conservation Bodies, to ensure effective communication and collaboration on chemical pollution issues.
- Contribute to the development of policies and strategies to address chemical pollution, working closely with colleagues across the organization.
- Science degree or equivalent experience in ecology or environmental context.
- Proven experience in providing scientific advice and guidance on chemical pollution issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
