Quality Assurance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at Kerry in Ossett, West Yorkshire. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality inspections on finished products, including metal detection, weight conformity, and coding and labelling compliance.
  • Perform recurring inspections such as the Kerry unique 'Golden 6' inspection, hygiene inspections, and assessments related to Glass & Perspex.
  • Distribute and report on relevant quality and food safety KPIs.
  • Communicate with shift managers and the technical department regarding any issues that may impact product quality or safety.
  • Provide concise and accurate information to support quality-related investigations.
  • Adhere to food safety, health and safety, and environmental standards.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the lineside taste panel.
  • Promote a 'safety-first' and 'quality-always' culture.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with QC testing equipment.
  • Desire to work in a quality role.
  • Ability to prioritize workload according to business needs.
  • Great level of accuracy and attention to details.
  • Confidence and ability to make decisions.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficient in using computer programs such as Excel, OAL, ICCS, and SAP.
