Development Engineer

Are you a skilled engineer looking to further your career with a reputable national housebuilder? We are delighted to be working in partnership with one of the UK's leading national housebuilders to find a Development Engineer to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies for new sites, providing technical advice to ensure development plans are practical and cost-effective.
  • Liaise with external consultants to manage and coordinate civil engineering designs, including roads, drainage, and utility services.
  • Provide ongoing support to the project management and site teams during the construction phase, ensuring engineering issues are resolved swiftly and efficiently.
  • Monitor compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports, ensuring that designs meet the required technical specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that engineering solutions are fully integrated into project designs and meet the overall company objectives.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in engineering within the residential or construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, building regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software is highly desirable.
