About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our team at the innovation hub of our client's UK branch. As a key member of the Lab Engineer team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative hardware solutions that drive business growth and success.

Your primary focus will be on writing specifications for outsourced development, bringing concepts to final solutions, and providing initial results. You will also be responsible for writing validation specifications, performing validation processes, and writing technical documents. Effective communication with stakeholders to present project progress and challenges is also a critical aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative hardware solutions that meet business requirements
  • Write specifications for outsourced development and bring concepts to final solutions
  • Provide initial results and perform validation processes
  • Write technical documents and communicate project progress and challenges to stakeholders
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need experience with STM32 microcontrollers and embedded firmware. Proficiency in Altium for multilayer PCB design and generating manufacturing files is desirable. Additionally, you should have experience in both analogue and digital electronics design, interpreting design specifications, conducting reporting and documentation, and performing validation testing of designed PCBs. Knowledge of power semiconductor devices is also desirable.
