Audit & Accounts Senior

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients, acting as their first point of contact, and preparing accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies.
About the Role:- Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as their first point of contact
- Prepare accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies
- Prepare consolidated statutory and management accounts
- Oversee end-to-end accounts and meeting documents ahead of accounts meetings
- Conduct cashflow forecasting and corporation tax compliance work
- Prepare reports for review of Directors
- Communicate clearly and effectively using computer software including IRIS, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
- Support junior staff by reviewing work and knowledge sharing
- Liaise directly with clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries
- Work to client expectations, budgets, and deadlines
- Promote services to existing and prospective clients
- Champion your own professional development, proactively learning from the experienced team
- Support the wider firm with ad hoc duties as needed

- ACCA or ACA qualified, finalist, or studying, with at least 3 years' previous experience within practice
- Demonstrable experience in financial reporting and supervising junior staff
- Audit experience is an advantage
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-motivated and reliable, eager to progress
- A strong work ethic, time management, and organizational skills
- Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team
- Hands-on attitude towards building client relationships
- Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail
