About the Role

The Account Manager (AM) is a key position within the Endoscopy team at Boston Scientific, responsible for managing the end-to-end clinical sales process for specific customer segments. This involves identifying commercial opportunities in the region, managing account planning across the customer base, and driving the execution of regional and local sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of the annual strategic plan by providing business intelligence for accounts in scope, including market size and potential, market/product trends, business opportunities, competitive landscape, and updated clinical and economic stakeholders.
  • Understand account unmet needs and expectations, and develop detailed account plans to support sales strategies and activities.
  • Design and execute sales strategies and activities for accounts in scope, in compliance with national and regional targets.
  • Develop stakeholder maps, define touchpoints, and action plans for each stakeholder, and ensure account information is timely updated into systems.
  • Build and maintain relationships with economic stakeholders, clinical KOLs, and promote Health Economics arguments to engage decision-makers in commercial programs and solutions.
  • Support clinical colleagues in identifying and managing sales opportunities derived from clinical support, and perform clinical selling based on clinical support information.
  • Gather information about next tenders and negotiation opportunities from interactions with KOLs, clinical, and economic stakeholders, and clinical support.
  • Plan and prepare tenders/proposals based on account situation and understanding.
  • Participate in negotiations, where applicable, and prepare administrative documents and input requested by the customer.
  • Develop deal models and create IPAT to support sales strategies and activities.
  • Timely reach out to customers regarding new agreements, perform sales visits, and identify new sales opportunities to drive future business growth.
  • Perform periodic updates with respective Sales Force and QBRs meeting with RSMs, leveraging monitoring and reporting content to ensure effective sales process delivery.
  • Record customer information and activities in company's CRM system, using the system as an alignment tool with other commercial roles.
Requirements
  • A degree qualification within a relevant scientific subject is beneficial, but not a requirement.
  • Proven industry experience within clinical commercial sales and case support for medical devices, with experience with endoscopy products being beneficial.
  • Comfortable working in an acute intervention setting and assisting with relevant procedures.
  • Proactive and innovative team member who thrives working autonomously.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and strategic commercial skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details.
  • Rapidly adaptable to a dynamic marketplace.
  • Strong team player, collaborative, and able to build relationships and work cross-functionally.
  • Self-motivated and able to influence others.
  • Flexible, dynamic, adaptable, focused, and persistent.
  • Comfortable working in a remote field-based position and able to travel extensively across the region as required by workload.
  • Holder of an eligible driver's license for operating a vehicle as required for the role.
