About the Role
This hybrid-based position for a Paraplanner offers a unique opportunity to become part of a reputable, Chartered Financial Planning firm.
You will be integrated into their central office support team, collaborating with fellow Paraplanners and Administrators who deliver exceptional technical assistance to a dedicated group of Chartered Financial Planners.
Key Responsibilities
As a Paraplanner, your primary focus will be on providing comprehensive technical support, which includes:
- Drafting and preparing suitability letters and detailed reports
- Conducting thorough research and analysis of financial solutions for clients, encompassing income planning, inheritance tax and tax calculations, trust solutions, and cash flow management
- Overseeing platform processes, including client onboarding, planning completion, and setup
- Managing project initiatives, which may involve seamless transitions for acquired client portfolios
- Collaborating with Advisers and their clients
- Composing correspondence based on Advisers' recommendations
Senior Paraplanner Responsibilities
For those holding Chartered status, additional responsibilities may include:
- Leading the Paraplanner team as a technical expert, providing support and proactive updates on industry developments, along with training and mentoring for other team members
- Assisting the team leader with workflow management and technical sign-off for promotional materials
- Supporting the team in maintaining templates in line with FCA requirements
Qualifications
- A Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or an equivalent qualification is essential
- Chartered status is highly desirable
- Proven experience as a Paraplanner, particularly in research, analysis, and report writing
- Exceptional communication skills are required
About the Company
Our client has a strong foundation, having been established for over 40 years, providing Wealth Management, Financial Planning, and Discretionary Fund Management services to approximately 600 clients. They manage £400 million in funds and are committed to ongoing growth.
Benefits
- Competitive salary up to £45,000 for Diploma qualified Paraplanners
- Salary up to £60,000 for Chartered Paraplanners

- Upon successful completion of probation, additional benefits include private medical insurance, health cash plan, cycle to work scheme, and a workplace pension with employer contributions of up to 5% of your salary, provided you match this
- Flexible hybrid working arrangement with the possibility of working up to 2 days from home
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break
- Generous annual leave of 25 days (increasing to 30 days) plus bank holidays, 1 day for birthday leave, and 1 day for charity/community work each year
