Information Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Records Manager to join our team and contribute to the improvement of information management across the University.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Information Asset Registers, ensuring compliance with data protection legislation and the management of records and information.
- Implement an Information Classification scheme to improve the retention and disposal of records and data.
- Enhance record keeping systems and practices across the University, ensuring accurate and efficient management of information assets.
- Provide assurance to the University's management on the effectiveness of information management practices.
- Collaborate with departments and information asset owners to identify records worthy of long-term digital preservation and analyze and improve digital and hard copy record keeping systems.
About the Role: This new role aims to proactively engage with departments and information asset owners across the University, working closely with other colleagues from academic and professional services. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work independently and develop, maintain, and deliver their own workload within a broader programme of work.
